MARK DOUGLAS
Vice President of Leadership
Mark Douglas has over 25 years’ experience with education and youth development in management, leadership, and operational roles. Mr. Douglas started his career developing programs for adjudicated youth in the state of Iowa, where he currently resides. Mr. Douglas earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Human Services from Upper Iowa University and a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration.
Before joining the Resource Innovation Team with Career Systems Development Corporation, Mr. Douglas was the Center Director at the Ottumwa Job Corps Center, a position he held since July 2011. As Center Director, he provided leadership to 237 students and 125 staff members. Mr. Douglas is one of the most experienced Center Directors in the nation, in the area of working with community college linkages and Job Corps Programs. Mr. Douglas has been a committed participant in the development of this start-up center and is currently ranked #1 in the country.
Mr. Douglas has worked with Job Corps for over 18 years in the areas of Career Development, Curriculum Development and Community Relations. As the Center Director at the Northlands JCC and the Pittsburgh JCC he significantly improved overall performance and established an extensive network of community and business partnerships. While at the Pittsburgh JCC, he improved the OMS performance from a ranking of 108 to 34 in his first year of operation.
